Chinese billionaire Zhou Yahui owns the controlling shares of gay dating and social networking app Grindr, but will have to share the wealth.

In a costly divorce settlement, a Beijing district court ruled that Zhou’s wife, Li Qiong, will receive 278 million shares from his gaming company, Beijing Kunlun Tech Company — worth $1.14 billion dollars.

Kunlun bought 60 percent of Grindr’s stock earlier this year for $93 million, giving the company a majority stake in Grindr.

Zhou will still have 388 million shares left, the majority stake in Kunlun. The company’s operations will not be affected by the divorce settlement, a company spokeswoman said.
