One time, I went to Sixth Street with a group after a wedding, and some of the party got into a physical fight with a group of women at a pizza window. Most nights, the entire street feels like the sinking portion of “Titanic,” but it lasts an entire evening. Since graduating from the University of Texas, I have physically recoiled every time someone has invited me out to Dirty for weekend revelry.
It’s a River Styx of vomit. But if I knew Rihanna might be there, I’d suck it up.
The pop star went to work at the Erwin Center in Austin on May 14, bouncing from sexy Top 40 to doo wop wails. But the night before the show, she apparently hit up Sixth Sixth, according to TMZ. The online gossip mill reported that the “We Found Love” singer showed up to The Lodge in the wee hours of the night, “sipping Jameson and Cokes while high-fiving fans.”
According to TMZ, Rih left a $200 tip. All she sees is dollar signs, if you’ll remember.
When not patronizing the fine drinking establishments of Austin, the singer has been touring in support of her latest album, “Anti.” On Sunday, Rihanna went all in at the Billboard Music Awards for a performance of “Love On the Brain.”
