French fry pedicabs are not as delicious as they sound, but they are pretty cute.
Fast food chain Whataburger shares its headquarters location with Choose San Antonio, and the two partnered for South by Southwest. And this month, the burger joint is putting French fry pedicabs on Austin streets.
“Whataburger is the go-to late-night spot in Texas, so partnering with Choose SA at South by Southwest to bring our famous Honey Butter Chicken Biscuits was a natural fit,” said Pam Cox, Whataburger’s vice president of corporate communications. “We’ll also be giving away some exclusive Whataburger swag, so we think this will be a party people want to attend. And there’s no better way to arrive in style than in a Whataburger French fry pedicab.”
Choose SA, a nonprofit that promotes San Antonio to the world, will be at SXSW with their own series, SATX @ SXSW 2016. The nonprofit organization partnered with Whataburger for the “official San Antonio Cultural Embassy” event, a three-day event at Old School Bar and Grill on March 11-13, from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m each night. While the pedicabs will be roaming Austin through all of March, Whataburger will also offer free French fry pedicab rides for people on their way to the San Antonio Cultural Embassy.
Bonus: If you take a photo and hashtag your post with #FryRide, you can win a customized Whataburger bicycle.
Now, back to that feud that’s brewing with San Antonio.
