1. Adele announces “25” album.

We might have missed four years in between, but Adele will finally bring us up to date on her life in her new album “25.” Like albums “19” and “21” the Grammy Award-winning, British singer has titled the new album after her age (although she is currently 27). Adele has called the album, still without a definite release date, a “make-up album,” different than “21,” a “break-up record.” Since her last album the singer has given birth to a son with boyfriend Simon Konecki. “I’m sorry it took so long, but you know, life happened,” Adele said in a letter announcing the album’s release on Facebook.

2. Austin360’s 2015 Dining Guide is here.

Possibly a dangerous link to expose you to this close to lunch, but Austin360 has released its annual dining guide naming the “Top 25 Restaurants in Austin” and other specialty lists like “Barbecue all-stars” and “All-star trailers.” While the majority of the restaurants on the “Top” list lean to the more expensive side, you can find more casual dining options on the specialty lists.

3. Chris Rock to host 88th Academy Awards in 2016.

The Academy Awards have announced they will welcome comedian Chris Rock back a second time to host the annual award show in 2016, after producers David Hill and Reginald Hudlin called him “the MVP of the entertainment industry.” The Emmy Award-winning Rock hosted the 77th Awards in 2005.

4. Khloe Kardashian releases statement about Lamar Odom.

A week after her estranged husband and ex-NBA basketball player Lamar Odom was hospitalized after being found unconscious at a brothel, Khloe Kardashian released a statement regarding the experience late Tuesday. Kardashian thanks the medical staff that helped nurse Odom back to stability, as well as her family who supported her through the ordeal, after admitting “The past week has been incredibly difficult.”

5. Today is Back to the Future Day.

You might not have realized, but we are in fact living in the future. Doc Brown and Marty McFly’s future at least. Today, Oct. 21, 2015, is the day the two travel to in their time-traveling DeLorean. When “Back to the Future II” came out in 1989 hoverboards, self-tying tennis shoes and dog-walking drones all seemed futuristic enough to be included in the movie’s depiction of 2015. Maybe after tying your own shoes and taking the dog for a walk, consider watching the movie to see what else they got wrong! Check out pictures of the cast 30 years later, here.
